FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
April 15, 2019
CONCORD, NH — Today, NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek announced that Elliot Gault will serve as the next Executive Director of the New Hampshire Republican Party. Elliot will succeed Todd Cheewing, who has served as Executive Director since February 2018.
“We are excited for Elliot to help build our apparatus in this important cycle to maintain Republican leadership of the Corner Office, and take back the New Hampshire House, Senate, and Executive Council,” said Chairman Stepanek. “The Party will also be working hard at replacing our liberal federal delegation - Senator Shaheen, Congresswoman Kuster, and Congressman Pappas. Elliot will be a fantastic addition to the team, and I am excited to be working with him. I would also like to thank Todd Cheewing — who agreed to stay on for a seamless transition — for his tireless work, years of service, and commitment to the NHGOP during difficult times.”
"I'm excited to have Elliot join the State Party as its Executive Director as they work to take back the State House in 2020," said Governor Chris Sununu. "As a key member of my team, Elliot brings valuable experience working with the House, Senate, and Executive Council at the State House. I look forward to working closely with Chairman Stepanek and Elliot as we move into the 2020 cycle."
Elliot currently works for Governor Chris Sununu as Director of Appointments, and previously worked for the House Republican Office. In the 2016 cycle, Elliot served as the Statewide Recruitment Director for Senator Kelly Ayotte’s 2016 campaign. While attending the University of New Hampshire, Elliot also led the New Hampshire College Republicans as Chairman.
Elliot’s first day at the NHGOP will be May 6th.
