Concord, NH - NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement after filing Right-to-Know requests with 12 State Legislative Democrats regarding their relationships and communications with SEA President and alleged sexual harasser Richard Gulla:

“This morning I submitted formal requests to the Democrat elected officials who sit on the Joint Legislative Committee on Employee Relations. Earlier this week, the Democrat majority on the Committee refused to take public testimony in order to protect SEA President Richard Gulla from questions regarding the multiple allegations of sexual harassment that have been made against him. This silencing of the public and potential victims is a serious violation of the public trust. It is imperative that the public know what type of scheming went on behind the scenes to protect Mr. Gulla and silence the public. Under our State’s Right-to-Know law, I have requested the following information:

  • All communications between or among the Democrat state legislators in question and/or their offices and Richard Gulla;
  • All communications between or among the Democrat state legislators or their offices and any other person or entity related to Richard Gulla, the State Employees Association, and/or any allegations of sexual harassment against Richard Gulla (see attached article); and
  • All other governmental records related to any allegations of sexual harassment against Richard Gulla.

We look forward to the Democrat elected officials complying with our request.”
