Concord, NH - NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement regarding numerous bills sponsored by New Hampshire Democrats attacking the Second Amendment:

“There are a number of anti-Second Amendment pieces of legislation in House committee hearings today, and they are all an affront to the New Hampshire and United States Constitutions. New Hampshire consistently ranks among the safest states in the nation, in large part because of our supportive and strong Second Amendment community. New Hampshire Democrats have been laser-focused on restricting the Second Amendment and our right to self defense; these bad bills are just further proof of their political desires."

"This past weekend I attended the Manchester Gun Show, where over 3,100 Second Amendment supporting citizens gathered. The people of New Hampshire are paying attention to the attacks on the Second Amendment coming out of Concord, and we will all support Republican legislators and Governor Chris Sununu in defending it and Article 2a of the New Hampshire Constitution.”
