Concord, NH - NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement regarding Senate Bill 6:

“The NHGOP is pleased to see that Senator Soucy and Senator Morgan realized their petty partisan game to withhold Senate Bill 6 was being seen by the people of New Hampshire. It should be noted that, due to Senator Morgan’s political ploys, this bill was held for more than 32 days since it passed the House before being sent to the Governor’s office for his signature. This unnecessary and deliberate delay from Senate Democrats stopped the immediate new hiring of DCYF workers. This political move by Senator Morgan put children’s lives at risk. We applaud the Governor for signing this legislation, and we hope Senate Democrats will put the needs of New Hampshire citizens ahead of cheap political theater going forward.”
