Concord, NH - NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek released the following statement regarding the recent ethics complaint against Democrat House Leader Douglas Ley:

“The recent report by NHPR highlighting the ethics complaint against Democrat Leader Ley is deeply disturbing. Like his predecessor at the union, Rep. Ley has testified on bills, worked with committees, and pushed legislation to his colleagues on bills affecting the union he works for, but he has taken the extraordinary step of not disclosing his clear conflicts of interest. He may not call himself a lobbyist, but Douglas Ley has clear conflicts and he needs to recuse himself from legislative activity and any votes dealing with his union. His constituents and the citizens of New Hampshire will be watching.”
